After being disappointed in our original destination, my wife and I wandered up the street until we came across the open door to Twins Jazz with the sound of lively music floating down the stairs.
At the top of the stairs we are greeted by a familiar sight if you've ever been to a New York jazz club. A long, narrow room lined with tables and a scattering of booths, a stage at one end of the room and a bar at the other.
Staff were attentive if busy, but the music and audience were both pleasant. My wife and I were informed by a kind, happy gentleman that we had stumbled into the best jazz club in the city, which you couldn't disprove by me. The drinks were good, pricing is what you should expect to pay at a club in a metro area, and overall I'd come back.
